New 45th and New to Camaro5
Good morning,
This is my first post to Camaro5, and an announcement to the forums that I now have a new Gen 5 In my garage. I'm sure I will have some questions about the car for this community. This is the 3rd Camaro that I have owned, and by far the sharpest. I have really liked the Gen 5 since the concept, but hesitated because of this or that. After I saw my first 45th edition, I knew that was the car that I wanted. Last week, I found one on a lot in the chicago area, with some nice discounts, and ended up driving it home. So far I love the 60's styling and the build and ride of the car is amazing. The color combination of this car is very sharp and tasteful. Great design. And of course my two boys are ecstatic to ride around town, or to and from baseball and have dad drop them off. I can't say how many people in the area have commented on how sharp the car is. Thanks GM. Its awesome. OK, first question/statement... Am I right to assume that there is no way to turn the HID lights on with the DRL lights on the bottom, unless I put some kind of mod in or reprogram the computer??

You are correct about the lights. Just FYI - one click clockwise , will turn off the DRLs & turn on just the halo rings. Gives them a neat & different look  .

Congrats! The 45th is sooo nice (I'm biased; haha)
 And yes, you have to mod your DRL with an aftermarket harness. Do a search or go to phastek's website for more info. |

Jstephen, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
