Found a Camaro for $18k

I was online looking at 5th gens and came across a 2011 Camaro SS with 145,000 miles on it. It seems really high for its age but is it worth it for $18,000 price tag. Its at a dealership so I hope to talk him down.

That's really high mileage for an unknown amount of wear put on it. Also, you might not be able to warranty it at that mileage, it certainly won't pass for certified previously owned. Check the vin for prior damage, have a mechanic (Chevy dealer) go over the car. I would rather pay $100 for an inspection than spend a ton in a damaged new to me car for repairs. That price needs to come down like $3k.

The issue as I see it is that you can not speak to the original owner and know how those miles were accumulated. I would not worry so much if the car was drive long distances as often Vs lets say a delivery vehicle for a courier company which would make it junk.

Also my dads friend owns his own auto repair place so I would have him go over it like every other car I own.

145k in 3 1/2 years says it was highway mileage. So if it checks out, it will be fine.
