Super Chevy Show in Memphis this Weekend - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

There is a Super Chevy show in Mempphis (Millington), TN this weekend (April 13-15).

Is there any chance that GM will have a ZL1 there?

Is there any chance that a proud ZL1 parent might bring the new baby out for a show?

This might be my best shot at seeing one before placing an order later this year for a 2013. From what I have read and seen here, I don't have to see one before I buy, but it would make me feel better.

Mine is supposed to be here this week, and it might be possible that I would take a road trip to Memphis. Have to see how the week works out.

Funny thing is, right now it is sitting in a holding yard in West Memphis so you are closer to it than I am.

Mines in the same holding yard per yesterday's call to Chevy cust service. Can't see why they wouldn't move it across the river to the dealership today.

DangerouSS, my dealer indicated that the vehicle had to be bayed at this holding yard for 3 days before it could be delivered. It could be a customs thing, not really sure.

I hope to place an order for a 2013 ZL1 in July or August.

However, everyday I read how great they are causes me to review my budget and see about moving it up closer. Also, it would be great to have it for as much of the nice weather as possible. I am sure it will be even harder to wait after the ordering opens up which I think is in May.
At the moment I believe I want a Red one with an automatic. Now that there is a Nav system, I may or may not opt for that but I will have to consider it. There may be other surprise options or colors for 2013 that make me adjust my choices but we'll see. Hopefully the price remains the same.

That would be great. I have relatives in Arkansas and I tend to go to some concerts in Little Rock that we don't get. Between those, I travel fairly regularly that way so I could probably even meet you there.

I don't suppose the rail way company would let me in to take a few pics?

Jim Keras Chevrolet in Memphis. I was their first order. The car is probably 15 miles from the dealer.
