Custom Gauges in Instrument cluster?

I have never been much of a fan of the way the numbers looked on the tach and speedo in my 2010 2SS.

I've noticed in the pictures of the ZL1 that they have toned done the look, made it less colorful and 'old school' in terms of the font they used.

If your reading this you certainly know what the cluster on the 5thGen Camaro looks like, check out the photo of the ZL1 cluster:

Short of shelling out for the ZL1 gauges (...and any other hardware needed to calibrate the gauges correctly from a 2012 ZL1 to a 2010 Camaro...) is there anyway to get the look of an instrument cluster 'customized'?

Dong see why not. Its a pretty cool idea though. I figure you would just need to take apart the cluster and then just switch the faces. Then some reprogramming too but any dealer could do that.

I am currently working on a project on how to make a custom kit for the gauges. Will keep you posted. I am on the right track at the moment.
