Hotchkis Drop Springs - Strut Cap Issue
This weekend a friend and I installed the Hotchkis Stage 2 kit on my Camaro. When we finished the install of the front springs we noticed that the caps on top of the strut towers were raised about 1cm above the strut tower. We had double checked that the springs were installed per the directions and decided to test drive.
We didn't notice any noise or handling issues and even went over some railroad tracks with no noise. Has anybody installed these springs before and noticed this issue? Is this normal or did we muck up the install somehow? With that issue being said, I'm very impressed with the Stage 2 kit. Handling has really improved noticeably and ride quality is still superb. Here is a picture of the issue:
