Question 20,000+ Camaros yet???

I'm just curious and want to know people's opinions or get some hard facts. Correct me if I'm mistaken but we are well above 19,000 vins? With there being roughly 22,000 camaro orders and production at or around 400/day, will that complete all the orders? Once all the orders are completed will they keep producing more camaro's? What happens to the rest of the produced vehicles, do they go to the dealer lots or are they going to stop producing once all the orders are complete?

Stop building? No, no, no, I don't think so. Those people in the factory need their jobs. The dealer lots will begin to fill up with Camaros. and they will just keep building them.

Dealers are already getting second rounds of allotments; mine got 11 more this week. Chevy is obviously ahead of schedule.

22000 orders might be right but let's say they hit 22000 today for example, several thousand of those were the dealer v6 cars and rental car order. Somewhere around 5 or 6 thousand maybe. So no not close to completing all orders not to mention technically preorders had a cut off and some people that ordered after that have already advanced further than preorders. I ordered feb and haven't moved. So you got preorders and regualr orders to make and then cars to make for the sells lot after all that.

So would it be safe to assume that dealers will get additional allocation or that's it, no more until September? So we may see Camaro's on the lots in august?

Dealers are already getting additional allocation according to posts on here. I ordered feb and was outside original allocation but at the time was not told about it and didn't know anything about it. I was told I start moving next week, they got 2 this week 3 next week and I was in that 3. Oh and there are camaros on lots now, not a lot and not everywhere but there are some. Sadly most sitting now are over msrp because of the demand, it will all slow down in the future and prices will come down.

All dealers should start seeing additional allotments well before the original end-September date.

Cool, I was gonna say how come they don't just give dealers additional allocation. i know fbodfather () said that GM frowned upon dealers that took orders over allocation. i dont mean to start a feud, war, disagreement, etc. just a curious human being here

..remember what is said about to 'assume' anything? I don't understand with the shortage of Camaros not keeping up with the consumer demand, why other GM plants are not getting involved. Make/sell while it's hot..is what I say!
