i got my installed for free since i use the voucher i got at camarofest but yeah i get around 20.9 in town and 24.7 on highways! which is pretty good if you ask me.. after all i go through all the gears and i do red line it alot when i get on the highway.. (who puts a stop sign merging into the highway?! always have to speed up so i dont get hit.. also its not even a straight shot.. its a 90 turn onto the highway..)

Mine is the JRE rough idle cam included in the 480RWHP package. I tend to drive a lot harder than I did prior to the cam, and that really sucks down the fuel.

Yup... this is what I seen reduced in my mpg on highway. I "was" getting 25 to 27 mpg and now 21 to 23. (cruise control on) When I mega performance modded my motor 2 years ago, my hwy mpg increased which I feel due getting greater efficiency of the increased power/torq In town, I forget to reset/ clear and then look, but the improved fun of the 3:91's city mpg doesn't matter to me |

I have the Night Fury (Supposedly) and all my driving is city. My Camaro is not a daily so it doesnt bother me. I typically only drive it about 2 or 3 times a month. On the highway I get about 22mpg. The overlap of the cam is what kills the mpg. Im in process of getting things ready for my semi-bullet proof diff build. I have the extra diff, 3.91 w/install kit, and 1 piece driveshaft. Just need to order the TruTrac and billet caps and find someone capable of doing the build without having to ship it out to be done.

I would assume a pretty good difference if you can get the car off the line. With torque multiplication, you're more susceptible to wheel spin. But in theory the engine revs faster, which gains speed faster. Only downside is you are guaranteed to hit 4th gear before the stripe. Would prolly lose MPH because of that.

Very True! My last dyno pull I hit 633 which I can spin the crap out of the tires. (I have 315's) And yes, my cammed/blown motor rev's VERY fast. I have hit limiter in both 1st and 2nd gear...a lot As I message, a DSS Carbon 1 piece getting made (about 2 weeks til ship) and looking to see if I gain any on the dyno. My main reason is a M6 is harder on drive train when dumping the clutch, also some what sloppy/clunky. DSS stated CF shaft with the flex great improvement for M6. Plus weight advantage they said will allow a faster engine rev! Ha...got that already |
