Performance upgrades to LS3 / SS option

hey their all you camaro lovers. Quick question for you. I will be the proud owner of a black ss once they arrive, however I'm not very familiar with the LS3 engine. Other than what I'm reading about in the vette. My question is what upgrates or power increases are their currently for the LS3 motor.
Thanks:

cam for sure, and I believe there's a procharger system for the vette. so wouldn't be much to get it over to the camaro

this should be in the engine section. . . . . .

there are superchargers and turbo kits avaiable. but the cheap big dog is that you can do a cam swap and a retune of the engine and put out 550 +/- hp. in general the LS engines in general are AMAZING

It depends on what you want to achieve. Whatever you find for the vette(other than CAI and headers, you'll have different fitment for the Camaro) should apply to the Camaro. Just make sure you get the manual/LS3. Check out some of the vendors, some claim headers, cam and tune can net you 500 ponies at the rear wheels. I imagine that's with supporting mods as well like CAI, filter, underdrive pulley and so on.

I am with you on getting the black SS though, I think I'll add the RS and possibly stripes if they are good quality( i.e. paint).

I'm wanting to get between 600 - 700 true hores to the wheels, street legal. I would prefer to try and keep the body as is since it's f-ing awesome and make a sleeper.

a camaro for a sleeper? that's going to be hard to do since every ricer and mustang owner out there will want to size up a camaro once they see it. especially the first year or so.

I should also mention that you may want to go forged on the bottom end as well. Depending on cash and how bullet proof you want the setup. Also think about gears.

i was definately going to go possible 3.73 gears. How agressive of a cam will I need? again sorry I'm a ford convert to chevy. My knowledge is minimal at best with chevy motors. I definately hear you with the ricers, stangs, and challangers. Which is why I'd like to reach my 500 HP mark within the first 2-3 months after purchase, then go from their. I'd like everyone to know who the new leader of the pack is

Forget gears, you will need a 9" or a 12 bolt for sure. I have friends with cars in this power range but I have to tell you they are not very streetable. Just so you know, a 500 rwhp camaro will be capable of spanking most anything else you pull up next to.

Rule to making BIG power: Build it backwards. tires, rear end, driveshaft, tranny, suspension, then the supercharger, headers and goodies.

No 9" or 12 bolt, this is an IRS....... We'll have to see what it can handle, the vette rear does good right now and for sure the TR6060 can take the power and then some. But I don't think they have announced which specific, other than its an IRS, rear we are getting.

I know it's IRS but I can tell you it won't handle that power. I'm looking at blown up diagrams and specs right now. Trust me, the only way you can put down those numbers will be a rear end conversion.
