So I was just issued a TLR-1s for my duty weapon and I cannot for the life of me figure out how the strobe function works. I've only gotten it to work twice.

EDIT: Just figured it out. Didn't realize you had to hold down the switch for strobe. That's kinda dumb.

It is really bright.

Hilariously enough, I must not have tightened the screw enough because the first time I drew my weapon from the holster it flew off and smacked my target.

Double tap the momentary side of the rocker switch for strobe. Make a witness mark on the screw so you'll know if it moves. Mine will loosen up after a bunch of shooting. I have mine on my duty G22 and they don't seem to do well if you tighten the light down too much as it won't allow frame flex if you do.

LOL!!! That might have been enough to take them out.

Yeah I'm double tapping the hell out of the momentary side of the switch and not getting anything again. Kinda weird cause it was working fine once I figured that out yesterday.

I'll see if someone at our troop meeting tomorrow night can take a look at it.

EDIT: WTF now it's working again. I swear if I ever need to use this thing on the road I'm just going to post here that I can't get it to work and I'll be good.

I think it's just your basic eject button kit. In NY they fix the mag with a long button into which a bolt is inserted and screws into the catch, clamping the mag in place. They then fill the button with epoxy. Shown in 2nd pic

I would say our NY NJ friends need to run their incumbents off.

Actually the rest of NY just needs to secede from NYC, lol. Or I just need to return to the south to a free state.

Visiting NJ for the week. It's the same BS out here. Insane gun laws.

Was talking to a Jersey Trooper while I was getting gas at Wa-Wa. Saw the MT plates and started chatting about the west. He cautioned me to NOT have hollow points in my ccw gun when he learned I was a retired cop. I can carry most anywhere under the LEOSA Act, with my retired State Police ID.

BUT in NJ I can't carry HP's! Isn't that simply ridiculous.

I wont even get into bullet buttons, bayonet lugs or flash hiders.

In other news:
Quote:
BROKEN ARROW, OK (KTUL/CNN) - One person is in custody after three suspects in a home invasion were shot to death by one of the residents.

Police say a 21-year-old woman turned herself in hours after the shooting. Authorities say she was the getaway driver for the suspects.

A blue tarp covered a body lying dead in the driveway, and inside the home there were two more.

Investigators say the slain suspects are between 16 and 18 years old, and two of them had weapons - one a knife and the other brass knuckles.

"They were dressed in black, all had masks on, and all had gloves on," said Nick Mahoney of Wagoner County Sheriffs Office.

The intruders, authorities say, broke into the rear of the home and were met by an the armed 23-year-old son of the homeowner.

"There was a short exchange of words and then gunfire happened," Mahoney said.

The shots were so loud, a neighbor down the road thought a storm was kicking up.

"Well, I thought it was thunder. I just heard something. I had the doors closed," Leon Simmons said.

Residents say the neighborhood recently had a rash of break-ins.

"Within the past six months ,we've had two or three burglaries out here," Simmons said.

Both of the people who were home at the time of the break-in, a father and his adult son, were uninjured.
The getaway driver has been charged with three counts of first degree murder

Wait nobody in NJ can use hollow points? Surely their LEOs do.
