Wouldn't the thickness of the plate make the car scrape even more?

SPLITTER/CAMERA

My drive is a particular problem since is has a rounded curb instead of the more traditional cement cut out.

In my SS I could avoid scrapping the bottom if I approached or came down at a sharp angle. This method didn't work yesterday with the ZL1 -- scrapped the driver's side edge the first time I pulled into the drive. I also scrapped the splitter coming down a friends drive with a relatively steep incline.

At this rate I'll have a chewed up splitter bottom in no time. Any suggestions to protect it will be most appreciated.

I got a front camera system I am putting together in the next few days. .weather permiting. Also got a nice splitter protector from Skylane765. Check him out! ! great stuff!

So far I like the Bridjit product because it allows the storm water to drain underneath it.
Those Bridgit products will be stolen in a week.

Why not just pour a couple foot wide concrete ramps at wheel width? You could drop in a piece of pvc pipe first for water flow.

I like the ramp idea, the plate is def going to scrape more and put more pressure on the chin every time it hits something.

The traditional method is to turn into the incline. And that grade doesn't look particularly steep.

You never owned an F-body?

Best is to not let is hit, so fix the dip. Unless it is the city easement. They may remove it.

No, because the screws are set to the depth, that way the screws will not scrape off. It's not made for the poster problem, his will hit every time and that's not good, the one I made is just for times it hits when you did not think it would. Now it is important to angle the edge or the guard will catch and tear things up. It's the screw heads that get ground down when you scrape. The piece is only 3/16 thick the OEM screw head and washer is 1/4 I did not use the stock screws with the guard. The pic was a prototype
