Cars that are still bayed
It seems like some cars built in the last few weeks are being stuck at bayed status. I've seen many posts scattered throughout TPW threads and the status request thread. All I've heard so far is QA is holding it up. I'm frustrated and I'm sure others are; it makes me less frustrated knowing I'm not the only one.
Please include some details about your build: 1. Trim level and options 2. TPW 3. build date 4. ship date OR still waiting for shipment 5. anything else you may have heard For me: 1. ZL1 w/ ECF insert, crystal red tintcoat 2. TPW 4/8 3. Built 4/12 4. still waiting for shipment 5. my dealer informed me that it is on quality hold, with no estimated time of release |

I have a feeling this is due to weather for the 1LE's and ZL1's because of the tires.

I am also waiting on shipment.
1. 1SS, 1LE, Dual Mode Exhaust, Crystal Red Tintcoat 2. TPW - 4/8 3. Built - 4/12 4. Still waiting for shipment 5. My dealer checked today and the car is back on quality hold, no further information was available. I find the weather comment above, a little hard to believe. No offense intended to Blizzard. I work along the south shore of Lake Ontario. Oshawa is on the north shore. We've had a few nights in the past weeks where the temperature at night has dropped into the 30s, but nothing severe. Also they have shipped 1LE and ZL1 Camaros in March or early April. It was colder then than it is now. My dealer has spoken to customer service and I have checked with Chevrolet Customer Service (William R) on this site and no one is revealing why the quality hold is in place.

1. VR ZL1, M6. B92, RSK, Nav
2. TPW 4/15 3. build date 4/15 4. still waiting for shipment Not my car but it's one we have ordered. We also have a CRT 2LT/RS with the same TPW that was delivered to the dealership today. Is it cold up there again? Seems like a lot of ZL1s and 1LEs are on hold again. |

I'm guessing it is either tire related or NPP exhaust related. As far as weather is concerned, I agree with the comment that it has been warmer than late winter was (when the last major hold was). I don't think the temperature is the cause this time.

It's not NPP related.

Just a thought here but after looking around it appears that all the cars being bayed for extended periods are V8's. I haven't seen any LS or LT's with a long shipping wait. Of course I could be wrong but posting is a way to find out.
