So a quick note on Martin Chevrolet: While I have a Black 2SS/RS on order from Quality Chevrolet in Escondido on order, I thought I'd see what was around locally.

Martin Chevrolet has quite a few Camaros in stock, most of which are there because the original order could not afford it. They have a 2k markup on the SS's that they will not budge on. They did let me test drive their manual 1SS, which was very cool, but in addition to the markup, they also had the following charges: 1485 for lo-jack, which is about double of what it will cost anywhere else, and 795 for "paint sealant".

Now I can deal with a 2k markup. I won't pay it, but it is reasonable. The paint sealant option is what really annoyed me, as it is essentially another 800 dollar markup. They don't actually do anything to your car, its just total BS to inflate the price another grand. at any rate, when all was said and done, they wanted $35,500 for a $31,000 car and they wouldn't wheel and deal even a little.

At any rate, I think they are a little sheisty, but if you can talk them out of their BS options and only pay 2k over, I guess that's ok.

I agree with the paying 2k for instant gratification. The options seem like BS to me as well!

I paid MSRP, order went in 3/28, rec'd 6/5.

But for someone to wake up, scratch their az, and say, hey, i'm going to go buy me a camaro today,... yea, a 2k premium is not asking alot.

I got my black SS LS3 from martin Chevy about three weeks ago, Ask for Grady a very cool guy.
there is a mark up of about 2000.00 and they add lo jack with a price of 1500.00 those prices are not concrete. You can bring them down you just have to play the game. some don't like to haggle I love to.
also, I did not have to pre order anything I just went down there and bought it and drove home with it 2 hours later. they have two orange ones one yellow and a black one left when I was their.
