NOTE: THIS IS A RUMOR AND BY NO MEANS OFFICIAL

I heard from one of my friends while talking about corvette's and the ZR-1 that Chevy re-registered the Stingray title around the time they released the ZR-1's info to the public. Could this be another version of the vette or do you think the ZR-1 is might be changed to Stingray or what?

They were considering Stingray, so they probably registered it to keep the option open. Stingray, Blue Devil, Z07, and ZR1 were all considered, and they finally went with ZR1.
