voted.

need some new tires. should i get 285's all 4 like i have now? or should i get the ZL1 set up with 285 fronts and 305 rears? if i go that route, would i need to make any mods to prevent rubbing with the SS?

Don't think you need 305s at your power level. I'd say go 285s all around. If you do want 305s I think you ok with fitment.

Ryan, dont know your currant setup but youll need 20x10 rims for 285s. I'd go that way and if wheel offset is the same and no clearance problems you can rotate them. I'm probably going that route also, just need 2 more 20x10 rims for the front with same offset and mount PSSs.
Remember to that tires 295 and up seem to run 450+ each

I've got the ZL1 rims. They came off of a 1LE so the tires are 285's on all four, but I can get wider ones on the rear with those rims.

A supercharger is in the plan, probably in a 1-2 years once the car is paid off. I don't drive a whole lot (I'm only 3 miles from work and weekends we have our 3 kids so we take my wife's car since we all won't fit in the Camaro) so mileage would be low on the tires. Might not need the side tires with my power now, but I'm sort of planning ahead.

If I do 285's I'm gonna get the Michelin pilot super sport tires. They don't make a 305 I don't think (nothing comes up on tire rack and other sites) so I'd have to get something else if I go that route.

o.k., yeah more rear tire with s/c good idea. I think Jordan of JDP is doing 295/315 PSSs on 10/11" rims.
I was thinking on a SC again lately but house stuff and return to sanity reared their ugly heads once again...lol
And I go through tires once a year with auto x so 285s just fine

lol, yeah, once the car is paid off I'll be able to do the s/c and suspension stuff I want to do a little easier. I think I'll just do the 285's all 4 for now.

Any recommendation on where to get them done? Should I just order off tire rack and then take them somewhere to get installed? Or go somewhere, have them order them and install once they get them?
