Shipping during plant closure

For us built and bayed folks, I am wondering if shipping will still be operational during the plant closure next week, assuming they make it out of quality control?

I dont see why not... actually i think QC is still functional even when the plant is closed... i think it is closed for just production

I certainly hope so; this is getting OLD fast! The longer it takes to evaluate CTF ZL1s, the more I wonder about "issues" that may have cropped up over the last month. If they aren't delivered in the next two weeks, you'll probably see a code at Chevy Connects indicating they went back to the factory to get "FIXED". If nothing major has transpired, why drag it out any longer?

They will ship when GM passes through that gate in the launch process. I suspect nobody on this board wants a post delivery problem with their car so we need to let GM finish their launch processes. They know what they are doing. This is not tneir first rodeo. Let's keep the faith. We will all have our cars soon enough...

As Fbodfather stated before these cars are NOT going to be shipped until the CTF fleet reaches their predetermined milage. I thought that Al stated that the CTF's would have to complete 500,000 or 750,000 miles on the CTF fleet as part of the certification process. I went back and tried to find that milage number but could not seem to locate it. Whatever the number is, the cars will have to drive them first before we see our cars. As painful as it is, this is better. If you recall when the C5 Corvettes were released in 1997 they had gone through the same type of CTF certification. However it was a short time later that problems started to arise in the rear A-Arms and all of the Corvette owners were told to immediately park their cars and have them transported to dealers for repairs. I am very sure that Chevy does not want to repeat that process. I would love to have my car as much as the rest of you, but I will be patient and wait. I want to keep my car with me and not have to visit it in the dealership for a recall.

I remember getting that call from GM telling me NOT to drive my brand new C5 (the car had only been out 2 weeks). It really was no big deal. They replaced the parts in question and I was back in the saddle in a few days.
BTW, I refused to put the car on a flat bed but drove it to the dealer 50 miles away...and the flat bed followed me in case the part failed (it didn't).
