ORDERING MY 2011 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have been thinking about ordering the 2011 Camaro but I have no idea when it will be coming out. One dealer i talked to earlier said October and another said 10 weeks even though they said 10 weeks about 4 weeks ago when i asked them earlier. I am really confused and feel as if these dealers are just playing games. I really hope that the 2011 camaros are on the road before september. Does anybody seem to KNOW around when it will be coming out??

August is when most any next year vehicles start hitting dealerships lots. If you order one now, usually takes around 6 weeks or so to get exactly what you want. But if you wait for them for dealer inventory, you are lookin around the same time frame.

So they say, sh*t or get off the pot.. lol or wait til August. Either way if you are gettin a 2011, you won't be disappointed

Dealers have 2011s on lots already. Now how long they stay before they are sold is another matter.

Yes, they are out, and are orderable. Any car you order now will be in about the beginning of August.

This is my point! some people says stuff like oh its out already. Some people say in 6 weeks. Some people say in 10 weeks. It seems like there is no REAL answer yet

There are 2011 Camaros for sale that are starting to hit some dealer lots this week.

If you want to order which is what your topic said then it will be approximately a 6-10 week wait depending on if your dealer has allocations, if your order time includes the plant shut down or if you order something that is under constriction.

The answer is it depends.

I suggest you read through the TPW threads that start with 2011 to get a feel for the order time frame. The plan shut down is the weeks of July 5th and 12th so you may need to take that into account.

Probably not because there will be 2 weeks of people in line a head of you at that point.

Your best bet is figure out when you want your car and work with a dealer who sells a high volume of Camaros and has allocations. They will tell you when to order.

Understand, even with that, you will still have a 2-3 week window they will be aiming for to get the car delivered.

That's why the TPW threads are so helpful. Most of the people have the dates of each step of the process they have gone through. Your location also plays a big part and how long it takes to be shipped to you.

Thanks man. I read the TPW threads but it seems like it takes a while for the camaro to reach the final step.

Your salesman is being a dick and just wants you to buy something they have or can locate... he would make a quicker buck than if he waited and you ordered. Just find a good honest salesman... as for the 2011's, production started on them first week of this month... they will be showing up soon in dealerships. Not october, not 10 weeks.
