Sorry guys for the late reply here... A lightning strike on Sunday knocked out my home PC and Modem. Finally got fixed this morning.

Here's the list from day one... these are all hard copy and it takes a bit of time to put together.

There were just over 600 runs for both days.

Make that 3 days with a flat tire in Shreveport.

Had to get a new tire on the rear and just replaced a front 3 weeks ago..

Thanks for explaining the classes so everyone can see I'm not just whining. I may just be the only one speaking up? I know there were 4 other cars/drivers on Saturday morning after the drivers meeting who also said they were left out in the cold because they didn't have the fastest and had an automatic.

Maybe next year we can have the quick 16 and then index the rest so everyone gets the opportunity to run heads-up against similar capable cars regardless of power adders, bolt-ons or transmission choice.
We originally started out breaking all cars out by street tires or DR's... then it just got to be too many classes as those with DR's definitely want to run them. So in an effort to keep it simple we went with the unlimited V8 and V6... Then a N/A class and brackets for everyone.

The M6 class came about due to discussions in the Drag Racing thread and was just an add-on for guys who wanted to give it a shot. I fully expected the A6 guys to chime in, but there were no objections. It also became our second biggest class and did help out with keeping some of the slower cars out of the V8 unlimited. Unfortunately it left the A6 guys w/ blowers and turbos in the unlimted class which was our largest class. We will fix this next year.

You make a good point about indexing, but I think now that we have felt things out for the 1st time, more street tire classes will be in the works as most folks drive to the fest and don't have room for spare tires.

The V6 cars had a very poor showing so this one could be just lumped into bracket racing, however we do want to show off our fastest V6 car somehow.

The past 2 Fests were just about running cars and just having fun with it, especially with all the new drivers. This was the first attempt at putting together some serious competition and it will no doubt improve as we go. The guys in the tower were AWESOME and gave us a lot of good tips going forward... especially while working AutoX and Drag Racing simultaneously.

This year, the main goal was to showcase our fastest cars in the finals and make sure everyone got plenty of test and tune fun runs down the track. With all of your help and constructive comments we will definitely get better next year.

I had a blast participating and was able to get in 25+ passes throughout the two days of drag racing. Well worth my $100 fee.
Great Post... Thanks!!! Bracket was supposed to take car of the stock cars, but the rain killed it. Also KUDOS to the track guys for going out and drying the track not once but twice... They were leaning hard toward closing it and didn't complain a bit when the boss said get back out there and start drying. Turned out we got a lot more runs in late afternoon on Sat.

This is awesome..

It was such a great show and a good time! Cannot wait til next year!

Thanks again,

Great meeting you Jesse, your shop rocks...

Also, the girl reading numbers in the tower loved your blue tape job, especially after the rain smeared most everyone elses.

Yea, my bad for not keeping up with the "actual" classes discussed here on the forums PRIOR to showing up at the Fest. I did not know. I was at the driver's meeting and asked about "Street Tire" class and was informed that any adders as long as I had real street tires was fine. I did not know, mention, or was informed that having an AUTO would not let me enter this class. Matter of fact, I was teched in the 200's and ran this class for qualifying and first round, when a track official informed me then that I was in the wrong class. No mention of what class I should have been or anything. Very disappointed in organization. AUTOs, apparently, definitely NEED their own class in the future.

My car, #212, has a CAM swap only (with LS3 conv), a stall, and OEM factory street tires. No power adders.

I think You guys did a great job and everything went smoothly. Is this the final places? I was number 529 so it looks like I fell in 7th place is that correct? I knew I made it to the final 8 before I was beat by Jamie, but only by .4 because I cut a good light. If it were brakets I would have won that race by a long shot, LOL. Can't wait to do it again.
