The car looked like it was still pulling when the driver let off at 203 MPH. 208 looks possible with good weather and a very long straight.
Are we sure that he wasn't at the end of the gear??? I can't imagine 5th gear having much more.

Guys this was done before the road opened to show that the road is safe for 85 MPH driving. Don't even think about running this speed on this road. The first night there were four wreaks. 2 wild hogs and 1 deer hit and one roll over not caused by speed.

Awesome sounding. Would love to mod mine like that. Oh and what part of closed highway don't people understand? I am jealous that NYS won't close a stretch of I-86 for me to make a high speed run though.

Here the tollway speed limits are 55 within the Chicago metro area, but they usually move anywhere from 70-90; typically 75-80.

They don't typically enforce the max unless you're being crazy about it, but for all of those pokey Wisconsin drivers, they do give them tickets for going under the minimum of 45.

220.5mph... That would be a heck of a speed limit. I'd do it! Too bad it'd never happen. 85; that's cool!

It'd keep all of the Prius and Civic drivers off of the road.

If it was really just that easy. Prius owners seem to think that they have to force everybody to drive at 45 mph no matter what the speed limit is. Oh and as for Civic owners there will be hundreds of them with "Fart cans" maxing at 85 thinking they are in FF6 or something.

Since Hennessey hasn't posted it yet, felt it deserving for the negative responses to this awesome run! ................Since I've now watch that video about 100 times and trying to figure out who to bribe to run that road at 200 + MPH

San Antonio Raceway!!
Now, instead of being stuck on I35 for three hours trying to get to the Friday night Test n Tune, we can take a leisurely cruise down TX130 at ~85mph.
How sweet it is.

I tested it out on the way back from the Texas Mile on Saturday...This section is so smooth with big sweeping curves and wide open views, you can't even feel how fast you were going without looking at the speedometer...It's even better than it looks in the video.

Apparently, a bunch of wild pigs are now causing problems on the toll road..

(insert Camaro weight joke here)
