The 305 is notorious for being a lame duck in the performance category. Something that people tend to look over. I would love to see an LLT built the same.

Speaking of cams, how are those bad boys coming? I was following the threads but people were hitting a wall with the tuning. I assume they've made more progress?
I remember the 305. I am not sure about the llt cams, but I know they are making good gains down under on the lfx. I have been waiting for the weather to break to install. I Recently purchased hp tuners and I am still learning. Should not be difficult at all to tune the cams in with the software. Not being able to tune properly was where the llt was hitting the wall. Hp tuners is now test reading and writing ecu's, shouldn't be too much longer until the llt's get some more love.

I can buy cams, heads, exhaust etc. for anything I would want to do. You can't do that for an LLT, an engine that's been around since 2006. We are just now getting to the point where we can tune and install a set of cams properly. Lack of parts means lack of interest, that is a small market.
I agree, let's just hope we can up the interest with our performance gains...I think the lf3 will help the v6 gain a littler more interest among the general population. Kinda like the old turbo v6 Buick GN and GNX did. The first car I built was a pontiac big block...talk about lack of parts...

I was delighted to finally see the LF3 and what they did with it. I'm eagerly awaiting the GN and GNX as well . I never had a chance to work on a Pontiac V8. I work mostly with SB and BB chevy's. Dabble here and there in other stuff. Largely because that's what we're limited to using in most racing series. There's a few that's moved to LS based engines but not many so far.

One interesting thing is that Pontiacs rotate backwards compared to a chevy. Necessity is the mother of invention. One reason the v6's get more attention down under is their lic. system. Have to be lic. for a v8. I don't know exactly how it works, but I think you have to work your way up to a v8.
