My goal in gearing is to cross the 1/4 mile close to redline in 4th gear. unfortunately i think i'm still going to have too much room. I'll find out soon, but a 3.91 may suit me better. We'll see where I trap...I was hoping 135+, but i don't think i'm going to get there now...we'll see.

Happy Dyno Day

Made it to the Dyno today with my tuner (Bill). Now that i have my custom made belts from Whipple, I got to try out my 3" pulley for the first time. Very happy with the results 798 rwhp / 745 rwtq @ 15 psi @ 6400 rpm .

I think there is still more in her. Despite the 10 rib pulley, the belt was a little tacky when i switched back to my daily driver pulley (with a measly 724 whp )...so i'm suspecting belt slip (i was expecting 16-17psi...and only got 15). I hear Whipple has a heavy duty tensioner, so will follow-up w/Mike.

The good news is my ADM FPCM & ZL1 pump held up perfectly! Andy didn't think it would hold up to 800 hp, but as you can see in the log snapshot, at 6500 rpm, it was holding steady at 65 psi.

After a stronger tensioner, i think my next mod will be the super chiller...it was a crappy weather day to dyno, and my IATs were high...I think starting a pull/run around 50 degrees should be worth a little more power.

Poly Motor Mounts

So I've been expermenting w/motor mounts...the PFADTs have a little too much vibration for me when sitting at a stop light...sounds like most of my interior is going to rattle free. I had a little frankenstien going for a while w/1 stock and 1 PFADT...actually it wasn't that bad, still some rattle, but not sure it bought me anything either.

I just received the polyurethane motor mounts i bought from Nathan and installed them tonight. We'll see how she rides now in comparison...

So I touched base w/Mike at Whipple based on my 3.0” pulley results. It looks like my vmax ported TB is a constraint. So now I’m in the market for a 102mm TB. Looking around it looks like TPiS is the only reliable option.

Per a post from Ted J, I’m expecting 25 more hp and better IATs during a pull…

820 rwhp is sounding pretty good..., but it will have to wait...i'm planning to head to the track Saturday and see what i can do w/the power i have now. I hope to find the 10s, but i may need to figure out how to upgrade the driver before Saturday! (no i'm not letting anyone else drive my car)

BTW, I absolutely love the prothane motor mounts. I'm still getting the cam rocking the car, but no vibrations! I think the prothanes are a must for daily drivers.

I was thinking about going with the pfadt motor mounts too, but now I may do what you did an go with the prothanes, do you mean polyurethane, or is it a compound, like the pfadt graphite impregnated polyurethane bushings?

Yes, they are polyurethane bushing mounts, I think prothane is just a short name for them. I have the pfadts I'd sell for $200 if you want to try them first. You could easily resell.

I really want to put the pfadt bushings in but it's my daily driver for now, I really don't want the vibrations... at least yet until I start really making the horsepower, I'm only at a little over 407hp @ the wheels now. But that's a good price though should have no problem selling them unless I change my mind! Thanks.
