The prices are pretty much what I expected and am happy for you guys down south. The question us crazy Canucks up North have is...how bad does GM plan on raping us? As a general rule add 8-10K and if that's the case I'm not sure they will be able to sell them up here, so I guess we'll just manufacture them and wave good-bye as the cross the bridge from Windsor into Detroit.
I had a budget of 50K for a loaded up SS2/RS included GMPP add ons, licencing, taxes, etc. Not sure that will cover it based on this pricing.

I think all GM prices include that. Some dealers try to charge you for it again on your sales contract. Gotta watch them.

Got my two
|
Called my dealership and will be heading down to order later today.
2SS/RS without sunroof (I like the reverse mohawk too much I decided) Black stripes on a Red Tint - GM's red jewel is an amazing color and think it will look fantastic on the Camaro. |

Crap an automatic 2SS/RS with Rally Stripes will run $40k including tax, tag and title. Looks like I'll be getting a 2LT/RS instead. :(

As an FYI.
I just went to Ford's site and build a regular ol' GT and tried to match options to what the 2SS/RS has and the price was $31,995. So for 3K more I get 122 more HP, independant rear suspension, 20" wheels, Brembo brakes and not to be seen in Mustang. Screaming deal |

Or pay $42,390 for the SRT-8 and get a slower car with fewer options (yes you can get Nav system goodies, but color options and other goodies are very limited)

I guess my price estimates from Sept 28/08 weren't too far off after all ! ... I just wasn't aware that the prices I was hearing were for the 2LT & 2SS and not the 1LT & 1SS as expected. I guess if you want to add the RS package to each of the Base LT and SS models that would've made my base estimates pretty much bang on! Now, I guse have to wait for Canadian actual pricing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canadian & American Pricing Estimates Thread posted 09/28/08 by RetroDude ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I work in the Oshawa area and deal with many GM factory workers ( well at least until the car plant closes too! ) that will be building the Camaro. I've been asking if anyone has heard about the pricing for these Camaros. The general rumour is as follows: Base LS Coupe = $ 26,000 CAN ... $ 23,000 US Actual $22,995.00 Base LS Convertible = Not due till Spring 2010 expect to pay $ 7,000 over Coupe SRP. Base LT Coupe = $ 30,000 CAN ... $ 27,000 US 1LT $ $24,630 2LT $27,330 Base LT Convertible = Not due till Spring 2010 expect to pay $ 7,000 over Coupe SRP. Base SS Coupe = $ 39,000 CAN ... $ 33,000 US 1SS $30,992 2SS $34,180 Base SS Convertible =Not due till Spring 2010 expect to pay $ 7,000 over Coupe SRP. *** Please keep in mind that these are only ESTIMATES and not the actual SRP's *** |
