OP you should change the title to New Radio Pro 5 aftermarket head unit install kit. I was going to just skip your thread because the title had no meaning to it but I came to this section to find out about this kit. so I took a chance.

Just received it today. I may not have to use most of the kit. I should be able to use only the HVAC Harness and make it a simple plug n play for me. I'll retain the SWC and other harnesses that I used for the Metra Kit.

Would it be possible for you to take a fairly accurate measurement of the width and height of the radio opening? Preferably in millimeters? Just curious if the aftermarket Android double DIN radios will fit since they're slightly larger than a standard double DIN.

Thanks..

I am using the AppRadio3, which is a 7" screen and it's a tight fit.

Thank you very much for the measurements. I appreciate it. Doesn't look like the Android units will fit. The chassis of mine is 178mm, the bezel around the face is even bigger.

Looking forward to seeing yours installed.

Also, judging from the picture on the box, the radio seems to sit pretty far back. I wonder if you can adjust the mounting points of the radio to sit farther forward and still look good? If the radio has knobs, it seems like they'd be impossible to use. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm pretty pleased with this Kit. I only used the HVAC harness and everything seems to be working except the hazards button. Not sure what's going on there. Also the small display at the top of the faceplate is not showing the temperature. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.

I've been waiting 6 years for something like this. I wish it didn't have that dumb temp display in the middle but if that is the worst thing about this kit then that's fine by me. I'm going to pick one up but want to wait to see other installs. I want to get Car Play in my car finally.
