i have a cherry bomb custom axle-back with quad tips and i was thinking about getting the x-pipe from apex made by magna flow but my exhaust is kind of raspy and i was wondering if it changed that at all, i was hoping it might get rid of the raspiness

The resonated magnaflow x-pipe should reduce drone and rasp. I have yet to order and install one in my 2LS...I currently have Dynomax bullets and it's a bit raspy at high rpm..

It will kill any rasp, and still sound nasty at high RPMS, if you look at DJ Atomix post in the LLT forum (just do search under 11385), you can hear his plus all the comments. Bottom line, if you do get it, you don't need any mufflers, it's not too loud either, just very retro deep sounding, could fool most into thinking you have a V8.

This is what I plan to do to my LFX V6, right now I got the 11385 connected to the stock pipes, and no pipe at all from rear axel where I had an axel back set of Flowmasters. I might have 3" pipe installed from the M.R.X on back, plus delete the 2nd cats (to follow the advice from DJ. A).

I have the res x pipe. It will eliminate the rasp and eliminate drone. It gives your exhaust a nice smooth sound throughout the entire rpm band.

Trust me resonated x pipe with cherry bombs sounds really good. I get a lot of compliments on it. It does tame it down quite a bit tho. Maybe if the resonators were cut out it would be louder. I've been thinking about getting them cut out but I haven't made a decision. But with the x pipe I have zero rasp and it cut a lot of the drone out also.

I have same cherry bomb, and no resonators with resonated x pipe but I have long tube headers thou. Drone was so bad and the sound inside the car was terribly horribly bad.. I mean bad.. Don't u guys get that? If u don't mind it the u are crazy lol... But on a serious note, did the j pipes and boy.. Talk about nice exhaust and quite as hell inside.. I actually love riding with windows down now cuz I get to hear the low rumble of the exhaust..
