USA Camaro-Canada Camaro

Does anybody know if there is different mapping in the computer between a USA camaro to canadian camaro, I had a 2010 V6 camaro (canadian) and now have a 2012 (USA) V6 Camaro and the dic readings are quite different, going on the average I am losing about 4 to 5 mpg, when watching the average mpg on the dic it fluctuates very quickly as if it was showing instant mpg rather than an average, this is my first car from the USA, Is this the norm or should I have it taken in and have the computer redone for my area?????

is this an MPG difference overall, or have you noticed it just since the gas companies went to their winter formulation?

The only difference in US and Canadian cars is that the Canadian ones are faster.

The US gallon is a smaller quantity than the Imperial gallon.

If the Canadian model is calibrated for the Imperial gallon and the US model calibrated for the US gallon then you will see less MPG compared to your old Canadian spec car.

Canada doesn't change their formulation, so that can't be it. Oh yes, they still jack up the prices saying that's the reason...

They have been on Liters or litres or whatever for quite a long-time.

That is why the one Canuck chimed in stating Canadian Camaros are faster, when they see 100 on the speedometer, it is but 62mph down in the states.
