L99 2013 VS GT Mustang Auto 2013

Thinking about leaving the V6 league and moving to the V8. I have 2 cars in mind right now the Mustang GT and the SS both auto and 2013.

Which one will have more low end torque, better ride quality, and most improtant thing to me (zero) dead spots in gear shifting

Youre gonna have to drive both to really get a true feeling for it.

^^^ what thy said bcus everyone on here will go back and forth. Just from reading on here, mustang is faster due to lighter weight, camaro better handling, looks, and interior. I'd go camaro with 1LE package but it only comes in manual.

They are both great cars but the edge goes to the Camaro for better ride quality, better handling and better braking. The Mustang is quicker but that is about it.

looks and interior are totally opinion, IMHO the Mustang looks as badass as the Camaro, expecially the 13. Interior can and does go both ways. Handling depends on he model, the GT with Brembo has most consistently bested the SS in comparisons and track times, the Mustang by sheer virtue of weight and gearing is usually quicker and easily has the advantage auto to auto. The Camaro has a better ride and feels more substantial, the 4 wheel Brembos are definatly superior to the mustangs front only. Just drive them, only way to really know.

The most important part for you (zero dead spots) can be had on either car. The price, of course, is a tune. The other thing to keep in mind is the AFM on the camaro. I see that you installed an aftermarket exhaust on your LT. If you plan to do the same on an L99 SS, you may want to check into some of the AFM drone threads.

Well I had a spin on my mate 2010 L99, didnt really feel much difference than my LT maybe because mine has every single bolt on in the market so far.

I wonder if the 2013 model is any different and worth trying

Thats a very important point. But as I can see so far that tune on the GT is making wonders, while the L99 is still not reaching the 400RWHP with tune and bolt ons :(.

Tune, Cai, long tubes, and gears and exhaust on l99 got me 356 to wheel, ls3 conversion got me 440 to wheel

Which unfortunately is where it counts almost every time in a muscle car.
I hate saying this, but Chevy needs to stop being creamed by Ford in the power section of the Pony ride.

I know my 13 L99 is a freak but it ran 8.2s in the 1/8 Bone stock. there is no way they run 9.0s in the 1/8!

Mine ran 8.6 on a cool FL night :-\ All other runs were knockin on 8.9+

So I either have a factory retard (considering it's not stock), or 9's and L99 is not just a coincidence.
