Removing Badges

"We don't need no stinkin badges!"...

All kidding aside, I'm seriously considering debadging my SS. I'm from the school of thought that less is more and I like the clean looks of limited badges on a car. The only badges that will definitely remain on my car are the bowties and perhaps the Camaro badge on the sides, but I'm not sure of that one yet.

My question is, I know removing the SS badge on the back is a no brainer, but what do you think about removing the SS badge from the grill? Can it be screwed off or is it attached to the grill and I'll have to cut it off, perhaps leaving an ugly mark in the plastic grill?

Any ideas about this one?

I think it looks like a clip on. I think it just 'pops' off if you pull on. I was wondering the same thing actually not to long ago. If I ever do decide to debadge the SS sign on the front, I want a separate SS emblem and stick it where the Bowtie is. We'll find out once we get our cars.

Hmm, I am no expert, but I would think it clips on or is screwed on, and probably is the same grill as the V-6. Like I said though, I am no expert, someone will probably post with more insight than me. I like less badges too, I am glad they did not get carried away with them, they were tasteful I think IMO.

Yeah to debadge the grill properly you might need an aftermarket grill. I'm sure we'll know more once people actually get their hands on a car.

Personally, I like having the SS badges on my Camaro.

The only badge I don't prefer, is the dealer badge.

I want a few...:(

Especially GM badges. I need to stick them on the Envoy/Sonoma.

Actually, I'll take anything you guys don't want. I have a reputation for being the first person to go to if you're throwing out a computer, TV, whatever. Just let me know what you don't want and I'll see if I need it or not.
