Glad I was wrong, I thought the SS package would be more like $7995.

For how the car will perform, it is going to be a steal.

Excellent point, the car itself is pretty pricey but 1LE price is very reasonable. Nicely done GM.

Finally and it's within my threshold of pain. When compared to a well equipped Dodge Challenger Scat Pack (6 spd/non-shaker) the prices almost mirror one another. I know they are both totally different in performance and amenities but I just wanted to note the price similarity; given how both vehicles are selling for the year. A person who wants to spend under $45K will have two great choices to make for that amount of money; good times indeed.

Im so glad I was wrong, I thought the SS 1le would be alot more. Just like the 5th gen version, what a off the charts bargain this car is going to be.

So with Supplier Pricing I will be well under $45k!!! I was hoping it would be around $5500 but this is 100% acceptable! But if PDR is $1795 like they are saying on the ZL1 page that probably wont be going in my build.

IF my calculations are correct, a 1LE SS will cost $42,538 (with destination included) with the supplier discount assuming no other options are added.

Again "you get a lot for the money you pay" argument. I would have loved it if GM had kept the price of the package low and given me the option of adding a few. NPP, Recaros and HUD could easily have been made option taking out over $2000 from the current package. If one feels they need this for the track, then they could very well add it. Looks like this isn't gonna work for me. Its too much of a car than I would like and don't want to spend more than I can.

Any one else notice the 1LE has the same stopping distance as the ZL1? The smaller rotors must be offset by the lighter weight.

I thought $7000 sounded about right. I was $500 off.
