I understand the passion for the Z28. But only because of the Gen 1s. The later Z28s were just V8 Camaros.

But if the 1LE is faster than the LS Boss at least at VIR, what is the point of the Z28?

Give the 1LE it's own section and let the Z/28 dreamers keep the dreamers section.

Fbodfather said the 1LE wasn't quite worthy of the Z/28 name.

The 1LE is no SS imposter. Option or not. Merge the topics.

For me with no announcement, why is there a Z28 section?

Although I do like the section there has been nothing new for quite a while. Merging it with the iLE will keep it fresh.

Just like before the 1LE is for the trackies, not the posers.
Well unlike you, I don't think I want to listen to the constant stream of SS/1LE buyers and wannabes "why is there no auto tranny, they should have that to include everyone", etc. By your logic there should have never been a Z/28-ZL1 forum up until the moment there was an announcement, that's a little bit of a short sited view isn't it?? And since the real Z/28 heritage lives only in the first gen. Camaros (since you said that didn't apply to other gens) there should not be a Z/28 forum?? Can I ask why you are even on this site? Wouldn't you be more comfortable on the official GM after announcement sites? Just wondering since you seem to be so full of negativity for this site in general and this forum in particular.

I say give the 1LE its own section. If the convertibles can have their area, I don't see why the 1LE can't.

As for what to do with the Z28 section ... I vote that it be kept as its own separate thing until we know there won't be a 5th gen Zedder. I'll admit the prospects look slim at the moment, but the Z28 fans here are nothing if not hopeful, lol.

+1 there is no Z28 so why have a forum on an imaginary car

Z28 should be sticky thread in the rumours section for Z28 hopefuls and let the 1LE have a section that will atleast be full of facts , improvements, technical talk and modifications on real car that you can buy from Gm

As someone who lurks for information on the 5th gen (ie: someone "on the outside"), I'd surmise the appropriate changes to be the following:

Place the Z28 forum as a subsection of the rumor forum.

1LE, as it's an option and not a model, should be a subsection for the SS forum.

As we're discussing forum layout, wouldn't it perhaps be prudent to separate the SS forum from the LS/LT section?

The V8 and V6 have their own sections.

Not in general discussion -- which appears to be where all of the chatting happens. This is also the first forum listed -- which I'd presume most anyone visiting this website (even non-registered people) are going to click first.

Maybe do a Concept Camaro subsection (that the Z28 subforum could be moved to) and create a 1LE subsection in place of the Z28 section?
