Dash Bubbling - anyone else?

That, I would think, is normal and could be just small variations in the surface there where it was stitched. The bubbling we're talking about generally occurs between the central air vent and the top of the radio. The surface vinyl in that area is becoming delaminated from the backing material beneath it and aside from the visual, you can also press on the area(s) with your finger and release and it will make a sticky sound.

This is likely not due to heat but the design of the piece involving compound curves and weak adhesive. There's really no telling if GM is actually looking into this but my bet is if they fix it at all, they will do so quietly through introduction of a new part in the production stream. That way, they only have to fix previously produced cars if the customer actually bothers to complain about it. But that's just me guessing.

well I got a call back from GM today telling me that the tech team is involved and she will be calling me back on Friday to let me know what they have came up with. So we shall see

I checked my dash, but it doesn't have three little arrows.
Mine has only two.

mine is bubbling too going in tuesday for airbag recall anf=d to have the dash looked at glad to know im not the only one.

just took a look at my dash...and it has bubbles! i don't want to get it replaced if its just gonna keep happening.

just got my first dash bubble :( - Maybe i can get them to give me the suede dash insert????

Mine has had bubbles since we brought it home on Labor Day. Waiting to see what the "fix" is... would think that they would simply replace the insert and not the whole dash.

Are you able to pay for the difference between prices in warrantied items?

I.e. New dash but pay for the difference to get the zl1 sued insert?

think its too early to tell... but that is pretty smart to think of getting the suede ones....

usually not. My point was if they just replace the insert, the whole dash doesnt have to come out.

you can always just order them and buy them, seems like a good resolve for the issue.. but not sure if the same issue will come up or not..
