If you have your stock mouting bracket, doublesided stick tape works well for the inspection.

I have the hide-a-plate on mine. I'd recommend it but I don't think it would fit on the ZL1 front end.

It actually just came from the body shop a week ago, so I don't even have the stock mounting bracket

Trey, don't stress...just go tie-wraps for now...I know you don't want to go permanent plate "yet" with your new front end...Then you can look around and see what style of frame you want later...

Odds are you won't get another one, but if you do, figure it out then.

Same here, pulled over 2x's. Warning once and ticket for speeding the 2nd time, and deserved it for sure.
Windows smoked and 70% on whole windshild. No issue with lack of plate either time. Cop wants to write up stupid crap, he/ she is going to. Luck of the draw sounds about right.

I am just saying federal vehicles even in CA do not need a front plate, this would be ammunition to use if it was a ticket from the police not parking enforcement to state your case in court. Just a suggestion seen it used before...its a chicken shit ticket anyway. Unless the person receiving it was an ass or worse.
