Get that service at a BMW dealer... dare ya!
It sure does sound great! Good thing some people have a good dealership.

sounds great, what system did you order i think there is 3 type, w/o tips, w/tips, and w/tips off road use only?
*edit: the off road use only is for the LS3 as i see now you have an L99

any chance of a video of a take off and drive by, and maybe a rev video from outside instead of being in a smaller space like that?

My stock L99 is whisper quiet, you cannot hear the car from 30 feet away. This sounds very nice, no popping either.

Mine is too. I came out of Walmart yesterday and a bunch of guys were standing around my car. They just loved it. I was a little afraid, because they were walking around looking at it and taking pictures. It was also getting dark outside. So I'm glad I got out to my car when I did. Its a little scary when its 9pm at night and you come out of a store and there's a big group of people standing around your car.

After introducing myself as the owner, they asked me to start it up so they could hear it. I had to tell them, there's nothing to hear. Its very quiet, but that I will be changing.

But saying that. When I start my car in the garage (as in the video) and I get behind it, it has a nice sound to it. And if I have someone rev the motor, it does sounds good. Have someone start your car in the garage and stand behind it. Then have them rev it. It actually sounds good.
But on the open road or just starting it up once the engines warm (and not in a garage), its extremely quiet (as you say whisper quiet).

The car definately needs to be more aggressive to match its personality.

...or just use the remote start function when you're behind the car
You are right, at start up there is a nice rumble but it lasts at idle just for a short time. I also noticed that once warmed up the exhaust is much quieter.

I'm just waiting until the right exhaust for the right price is available. Headers will come later.

Yeah my M6 LS3 is nice and loud in the garage. But out on the street, not quite so loud. I like the sound of the GMPP exhaust, but now im really curious to hear what it sounds like on an M6 with a set of headers.

My biggest fear is to drop a ton of money and then not be happy with the sound! I dont want a blaringly loud exhaust setup. Deep at idle, and a little loud at WOT, not all the time.

So far the best I've heard for a full system is the SLP with Powerflo mufflers, just loud enough, nice idle, and doesnt sound like a diesel when it's just sitting and idling!

Should be interesting to see as more guys get this exhaust on their SS's.

Just called my dealer and told him to order the GMPP exhaust. Should be here when my car arrives and they can install right away.

Sounds great and looks even better. It'd be nice to know which kit you went with though

Aren't GM performance exhaust systems made by Bolra?? At least they are for the Corvette.

Has anyone dyno'd the GMPP exhaust? I want to know what the HP gains are over the stock cans.

Yes they are, but the specifications of GM model and Borla model are different. They make them to GM specifications.
