Stillen vs Street Scene body kits
So I keep looking at both body kits and heck if I can figure out the difference. Can anyone out there tell me if there is one? They seem identical.

The Stillen body kit is the Street Scene body kit. They are the same.

It looks like they are the same, but if they are the same kit then why are they different prices and different part #s on the Stillen website?

I can't tell you that because I don't know the answer to that myself.

I contacted Stillen and they said "the parts are essentially the same". But essentially doesnt mean exactly.

So basically one of them copied the others design. Does it really matter in the end though? I mean take the cheaper option, that's what I plan on doing.

I do not think they copied. I think street scene probably makes it and allows Stillen to call it Stillen. Maybe street scene makes all of stillens body components?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that Stillen manufactures both kits. Street Scene is supplied by Stillen then sold under their vendor title, hence the different part number.

The only thing that matters to me is if one fits better than the other. That is what I wanted to check. I don't want a cheap one, I want a good one. But if they are truly the same I don't care.

"Street Scene" is probably the difference in such small/minor features..that give it a street look but both made from same manufacturer (Stillen)... only an opinion.

I contacted Street Scene about a splitter & they replied that they're a manufacturer & don't deal with the public & directed me to an authorized distributor.
When I ordered the splitter from Stillen, I was told that they didn't have any in stock & it would take a few days to make one. After they sent me a broken one, they again said it would take a few days to make a replacement. Edit: The first one had an end snapped off but it did fit quite nicely. |
