GMPP LNF Tune
Not available for the Cobalt SS until next quarter, GMPP just released a tune for the other LNF platforms, the HHR SS, the Saturn Sky Redline, and the Pontiac Solstice GXP. The most remarkable feature of this tune, besides the substantial performance increase, is the ability of this tune to "learn" a tune for bolt-ons. Basically, the tune is for stock LNF engines, but it will adjust for optimum performance when other components are installed. This tune does not void the factory warranty. Article is by Leftlane.

Apparently, you and I are the only ones who really feel the benefit of this investment in the LNF. I should add that the Cobalt SS, featuring the LNF, got a time of 7:22 at the Nurburgring. This would make a slightly better time very possible.

Kinda makes me want to get a Solstice GXP. If only it could handle and the interior materials were decent.

It'd be pretty difficult to get those gains from a tune with a non-turbo car

I believe It would be possible, however, to let the Camaro "learn" performance parts tunes. That would be nice.

I typed the wrong number. It scored 8:22. As we all know, the Camaro crossed the line at 8:20.

I'm so torn recently. Whether I really absolutely need a Camaro SS, or if it would just be fiscally smarter for me to go with the Cobalt SS/TC or GXP Solstice. The problem is that I hate front wheel drive (my current Cobalt is my first, and hopefully last, experience with that) and I hate convertibles. The upcoming hardtop version should solve that one though, but a new one would be nearly as much as a new Camaro. Plus, as much as I love those two cars, I have been in both and they just don't seem nearly as well put together as the Camaro. Then again, after driving an 01 WS6, I severely need V8 rear wheel drive performance again. So torn...
