Fog light blanks

Hi, very long time no see here. I was around for quite a while in the lead up to the Camaro 5's release, but ended up getting a Victory Red HHR SS before the Camaros hit the streets. Now, 43000 miles later, I'm considering trading it for a Victory Red 2LS. The only upgrade it has are the 21-inch black rims. I like the all-business look of it: no frills, just a basic red Camaro on some very serious wheels.

In the "stripper model" spirit of this car, I was wondering if deleting the fog light blanks was feasible, creating brake vents. I realize at the normal speeds I'll be driving most of the time this won't be necessary, but I like the look. Is it easy to do, and would the openings cause any problems?

Well, that's certainly one way to go, but I don't see me cutting anything outside of the fog light circles.

Theres a plastic wheel liner behind the fog lights. You'd have to cut that too. Once you had a path through there, its pretty much just gonna blow air on the front lower half of the tire. It wouldn't be hard to do, just can't say it'd be very functional.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'd rather have the fogs..is it a dealer-installed option?

Ohio, can you point me towards a thread about installing them the way you show? That looks pretty cool.
