Replaced K&N Aircharger with CAI Inc CAI

Finally got tired of my K&N, so I bought and installed a CAI Inc brand CAI. Biggest pain was getting the Roto-Fab W/W kit back in with the box there. I'll be able to see if there is a difference when I burn her through the 1/4 mile on Friday against my wife's Mustang.

Thanks to CAI Inc for making the intake, and Apex for fast shipping.

Hooked up my torque app while driving today and saw some interesting things. My intake temp was 2 degrees higher then the temp on the radio, but 10 degrees higher then the ECU ambient temp. Also, my LTFT's are -20 at idle and -15 at cruising speed. I'll see if they calm down after a few hundred miles, I don't want to do a datalog until I get the ported throttle body and intake manifold. I like the CAI though, seems like I gained a little bit of low end pull. I'll find out if its true tomorrow night.

I don't think I'll be able to do anything about the temps at idle unless I wrap my stainless steel headers, or buy a hood with heat extractors.

Nah, Injen would have been it then since they own 6 of the top 10 in bolt-ons fast times. I already had the scoop and W/W relocation, so might as well make use of them.

Thats awesome, a 2 degrees is great and greatness is what we strive for with our products! Sounds like there is obviously a difference with readings between the ECU and radio in terms of what temp it thinks it is. Either way, the difference in IAT would still be pretty impressive, especially considering the heat those headers are putting off! Glad to hear that you are happy and that our ceramic coated intake tube and enclosed & insulated air box is doing the job it was designed to do!
