The difference in expansion characteristics between rubber and braided stainless steel brake lines is a result of differences in hose construction. Where rubber hoses typically consist of a rubber inner hose wrapped in a textile reinforcement braid then covered in an additional rubber outer sheath, braided stainless steel hoses typically consist of a Teflon or generic PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) inner hose wrapped in a braid consisting of stainless steel wire. The stainless wire braid more effectively resists expansion due to pressure inside the hose core. This improves brake system effectiveness by more directly transferring operator input (hydraulic pressure) to brake friction surfaces. While available without a coating, the stainless braid is typically coated or covered with a clear or colored material such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) to protect the wire and inner hose from the elements and chemicals, to protect the vehicle or machine from abrasion, and for an improved appearance. Coated braided stainless steel hoses have the same essential construction as rubber hoses in terms of an inner hose wrapped in a braid followed by an outer layer, but the different materials in the braided stainless steel hoses offer substantially different and arguably better characteristics.

10% OD lower pulley
Rotofab CAI Running Torco at 98 Octane Intercooler recevoir Upgraded H/X I do not really need more power for the road course. I am close to about 575rwhp. I would rather focus on handling improvements and weight reduction at this point.

if your sessions last 25 min like mine, the factory radiator may need to be swapped to a better unit to keep engine coolant temps down. My car would creep to 240+ on a 75 degree day. With my Dewitts unit, the temp was highest in the 230 range.

I would love a set of R compounds. But this is my DD. I will probably end up getting a set of dedicated 19" wheels and r comp tires for the track.

How did you decide on the brake compounds? Why the split DTC-30 and HT-10 vs DTC-30 or DTC-60 all the way around?

Not sure how much you intend to actually track the car but a heavy car on street tires won't be very satisfying, the heat generated will be more than your street tires are designed to handle. I have friends who swear by Michelin Pilot Super Sports, although on much lighter cars, and the new BFG Rival is getting good reviews in the auto press. If you can't/don't want to spend $ on a set of track wheels/tires the PSS may be a good place to start. Didn't realize it was your DD, when I saw the thread title I thought you were building a hard core track car.
Spend your $ on driver education, that's where the gains are made. You're going to really enjoy getting out on track and learning to drive the ZL1, |

The PSS's will be my 4th set of tires on my ZL1, and I am on my 5th set of rotors/pads. The GY G:2's were great, but I have heard really good things about PSS's so i thought I would give them a shot. I do plan on purchasing a dedicated set of track tire/wheels, but wanted to build up the suspension components first.
