Bell housing to motor gap

so I just installed the Mcleod rxt part number 6932-07 and a steel flywheel part number 460530 in my 2010 2ss. I put the transmission up to the motor and I have about a half inch gap between the bell housing and the block. I can't get it all the way in. all the disks are in line the tool goes in and out of the clutches and pilot bearing. please help!!!

Was pilot bearing replaced? Not an excessive amount of grease in bearing hole? Aftermarket clutch setups do have some play, Tickperf has shims but those are in the thousands range...I guess I would be taking parts out and comparing/measuring against the stock components to make sure they were not the cause...can't say how many times the freakin part was the prob....don't care how much you pay mistakes can/will happen...coulda buggered up the bearing during first attempt...like above alignment tool typically on loose side...most important BE PATIENT!!! Frustration can introduce it's own set of variables(aka-****IN PIECE OF SHIT!!!)..I am confident you will get this and look at it this way, I treat all of these situations as a chance to learn....period...peace out...Happy New Year!
