You'll get more wear on your front tires, but not bad. Probably lose 10% of tire life. In the rear you get less inside shoulder wear and the rears will live 10% longer.

Unless, you love the handling so much, you corner so much faster and harder, you wear them out in half normal tire life

Hey Pete, any drop spring recommendations for a 1LE? I'm only looking to go down maybe an inch all around. I just can't justify over $2K for coil overs right now.

I'm currently considering the Hotchkiss springs. I also have a Permagrin kit I need to install still. I'm planning on doing it all at once.

I was going to suggest the Hotchkiss, but Pete's response above would have me waiting.

Pete, stop teasing!

Thank you. I'll go through a few sets pretty quick before i go broke from buying tires.

Pete, I am running BC Racing Coilovers, 275/315 tires. Daily driver. What would you recommend. I am at the 660mm height setting.

I had my car set at -1 camber 0 toe front .9 camber 0 toe rear mostly for DD with a little road course action.

Then got a new set of tires and decided to have it set back to stock.

I hated the way it handled so much I paid yet again for an alignment to set it back to the performance street setting. Handles so much better with minimal tire wear. It really is worth having the alignment done by Pete's specs or another spec sheet vs the factory settings.

Looking for suggestions for alignment. BMR adjustable toe and trailing arms, trailing arm, cradle, and upper rear control arm bushings, front and rear sway bars, 1" lowering springs, FE4 upgrade lower control arm and sway bar links, 1LE struts and shocks with shock caps, radius arm inserts, and ZL1 polished staggered wheels on new Good Years (stock). Daily drive with some sport drives. 2011 2SS L99 A6. 400 RWHP and 3.91 gears. Thanks! I have the peddlers guide from JDP but want to see what others do...

Don,

If they don't do what I tell them they get a crummy alignment

Front Camber -1.00
Front Toe 0.00
Rear Camber -0.50
Rear Toe IN 0.12
Rear Total Toe IN 0.24

Enjoy.

It helps the rear tires put down power better by being more square to the pavement under hard launch. It also reduces rear grip in hard cornering and in so doing reduces understeer.
