2010 SLP ZL454 or ZL575 Camaro?

Does anyone here have either of these models? If you do please share what you know about this car and how you like it? My Uncle thinks he saw one and may want to buy one. Please me how much of an upgrade this vehicle is over the standard SS if at all! I don't know much about them and I'm interested so I can point my Uncle in the right direction! Thanks.

I don't own one but saw it in person recently at the Philly car show.

All the info is here, just click on a model.

Basically the difference is with the 454 you get rims, an intake, exhaust and tune along with some trim and stuff, and with the 575 you get the supercharger. They both are ordered through a dealer and both come with a full warranty. So If you want a tuned Camaro without killing it's warranty thats about the only way to do it. For the $6k for the 454 you could buy a lot of stuff aftermarket though.

I was told by dealer only the supercharger has a 3 year 36000 mile warranty.I was looking to buy one but the extra 21,000 was too much.

This is a great product if you're looking for a limited model, but you could probably have someone do the work for much less.

I looked at the SLP cars in the beginning and decided against it. Wasn't a fan of the wheels

The warranty is only 3/36,000....but the bottom line is if its what he wants, go for it....cause you can't take it with you !

there are a few threads in the pictures section of the SLPs at dealerships and some prices. If i were you though, id check out the Hennesseys. They have their own warranty and are really amazing. http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/...ctionReq=Where

Here's my two cents: If he can afford it, GO FOR IT!! These 575hp car's are sick. I took out the one we have here and it flat blew me away. Yeah, they're pricey, but for something as limited as they are and to still have a full warranty you just can't go wrong. The 575hp car is a huge step up from the 454hp car--kinda like going from a Z06 to a ZR1--and from driving both of them I can tell you that the big-dog Camaro is no joke. I only put five miles on our car because I was too scared i'd wreck it. Too much power for me!

How much is a Hennessey HPE 550 or 600? And do they sell the car or do you have to buy a car than send it to them? If you send it to them I don't think he will go for that!

nope, you can buy a car new directly from them. I think the HPE550 is right about $59,000. Thats with the hennessey wheels, body kit and all. The HPE600 is right under $70,000.

I have been looking at the ZL550 automatic. It seems a little pricey, but if I can make it work I am going to do it. The hennesey's that I have seen on line are going for big money, more that listed above. I think the SLP is a good way to go being it is supported by Chevy directly.

Now when you say buy directly from them. Is it like the SLP where you buy it at a Chevy dealer and it is delivered to you in Hennessey form or literally through Hennessey you order it. And the HPE550 starts at $60K? Or is that like a 2SS with all the Hennessey stuff on it for that price? Thanks!

I have one. It starts as a 2SS. Besides the supercharger the add a cool new hood, 20" tires & rims. I'll probably change the rims. Lowered to the ground front and back 1", better rear spoiler, Zl575 emblems both sides on the front & back, ZL575 stiched in the headrests, ZL575 floormats, a device for plugging into the computer with all the factory setting from SLP, larger sway bar, better disk brakes, larger stainless steel exhaust system. You can get a Brembo brake package for $5000. After you buy it call SLP and they send you a birth cetificate for your car. My car is #62. All this is under the factory warrenty. Although I don't eactly know who in Montana will work on it. I've driven a lot of fast cars but this will take some learning. If he can afford it tell him to go for it. I see people selling them for over sticker but he should easily be able to pick one up for sticker. I paid almost $4000 back of sticker. SLP has a lot info on them. They even have a link to the closest dealer with one. Hope this helps.
