They certainly did, its not very hard to mod a V8. The market is there and well the V8 hasnt changed all that much. Thus save money on R&D.

The new engine isn't that much different than the LLT. The only real difference is that the exhaust manifold will be a permanent part of the heads. I bet we would be able to use the new ECM on the LLT.

The V6 Mustang had no competition for 7 years. Didn't NEED more than 210hp. WOW.

It's not that they make more power, how much lighter is the ford compared to ours? Every 100 pounds makes a difference(so says my 230lb-ness)

Weight forsure...I'm sure there are a few other factors, but if the Camaro was the same weight it would be pretty much a dead heat between the two.

You do have to give props to Ford on how they answered Chevy even before the year was out with there new V6 engine. Its like they were sitting there just waiting for Chevy to bring it on. Notice how hardly no one knew anything about the new Ford V6 until after Chevy brought out the V6 camaro. Ford kind of stole some of Chevys thunder. Thats what I like about the Chevy Ford rivalry.

I say give it time because Chevy was not even sure of the success of the V6 Camaros in the beginning. Now that we are almost 3 years even its been proven the Camaro V6 is a winner in sales and that there is a following. Not bad for a 2.5 year come back stint. You can believe now that Chevy will take the V6 more seriously a a performance car, thats why they decided to update the V6 in only year 3.

Any thread titled with the word Rustang should be auto-delete on a Chevy Camaro site.. Seriously, who cares? Mustangs look like garbage and have looked like turds for years. I don't care if they ran 2 second 1/4 miles in a 4 banger, they still look like junk. Might as well compare us to Porsche or Ferarri(only difference is they don't look like crap like the Rustang)..... Next!
