that is WAY too close to normal cars to park for me, got a 20 spot limit in all directions LOL, if possible I park in the out most corner of the lot, most people aint gonna bother to walk a football field or longer away to be an A-hole and park right up one me. seems to work that and I need the exercise, even with a bad knee the piece of mind is worth it!

I usually drive normally and park just a little farther away then I used to when I had my Avalanche, I have learned to not worry as much about my Camaro like I did when I first got it, if it gets a door ding then it gets a door ding, it wont be my first time I have ever gotten a door ding (although I havent gotten a door ding on the Camaro yet....knock on wood) I havent gotten any scratches that I havent done from my own stupidity(aluminum shed door blew open and smacked against my front fender leaving a scratch through my clear coat)
Sh!t happens, live with it, accept it......life goes on. In general if you show some respect for other peoples property in parking lots then you will most likely get that respect back. I make it a habit to just park at the end of a parking line so that just one side is exposed to potential damage from other cars, or I park a little ways out from the other cars, not all the way out at the outer perimeter because that shows "pr!cks" that you are paranoid of others, and so they will most likely go out of their way and mess with your sh!t, so to me it is a compromise to park about three or four spots out from the end of the line. If I am forced to park between two other cars I always look for a spot between two decently cared for cars or expensive cars, usually there is a chance that these folks wont want you scratching or dinging their cars if they are in nice condition.
Other than the above advice that I just gave, I just don't worry about my car, its not worth the headache, if it happens then it happens, I will get over it. And also since I stopped worrying I noticed that more and more folks are giving me ample room around my car in a parking lot. One good thing about these cars also is the fact that there are a lot of them out now and so they really don't stick out like a sore thumb and draw an a$$load of attention like they used to, I like how they are "low Key" now......hate being stared at, even though folks cannot help but to stare at these beautiful machines
You just freaked me out. You took the words right out of my mouth.

Someone needs a nap.

Let me spell this out for you junior, what that statement means is if you drive like a d**k, people will remember your car and exact their revenge at a later date.

Especially in an area where there aren't many 5th Gens driving around.

everyone always thinks if someone parks away from them that they are showing them RESPECT..not to burst any bubbles but not everyone sees our camaros as the greatest cars ever..it seems like hes jus protectin his car since his car doesnt have any cars near him on either side..

Maybe the guy just pulled in the spot and didn't care about being one spot closer to the store, so he just left the car there. Just cause someone leaves a space between you and them doesn't mean 'respect' is being given. Most likely it just means that spot was the easiest for them to get into..

I highly doubt the Charger driver parked 2 spots away from you because they "respected" your car. They simply decided to park there. If anything, you should respect your car more by parking away from everyone else in a busy parking lot.....especially a Walmart lot.

I go to Wa-Mart all the time, even worked there while in college for years and have seen it all. So many stories just from the parking lot..
But personally I parked everywhere in the lot with all previous vehicles I and or the family have owned. But on times when i have parked far away- cars been keyed, hit by a truck and rammed by the phantom shopping carts, had drinks thrown on them. [& no I'm not public enemy #1, and its a very safe store/town] Id rather have taken a door ding that can be popped out easy then the other major damage i've received that put vehicles in the shop. If somethings is gonna happen, it'll happen, no space is safe. Even the roof isn't safe..

But sometimes its an accident, and they happen. The truck that hit me while parked in a bfe-corner actually left his information. Amazing!

I am confused. Are you saying that an LS camaro is not the same class of car pricewise as an $18000 v6 charger? 2010 LS camaros will probably be $18000 or less by fall.

LOL...The horror!...the horror!...as if that's not bad enough, do you realize that bird's still actually still fly over-head and crap?...That the road department hasn't removed every pebble that may hit our paint?...That other driver's still have the gall to occupy the same stretch of road that we are using?...And that they haven't changed the traffic laws to accommodate our driving needs?...Its just not right...don't they realize we own Camaros for crying out loud?...Life just isn't fair!....lol
