HUD and tint

Does anyone know how my HUD would be effected by tinting the windsheild 35%?

I have 35% on my windshield, and it does show up brighter.. So much so that i have to dim it down further than i did before the tint....

I don't know about HUD but I would think your vision would be affected. Is that legal anywhere in the U.S.? Perhaps I don't get out enough but I don't think I've ever seen someone tint a whole windshield. Not knocking it, just never seen it.

No its not legal. I don't believe any states let you go below the AS1 line

I've got 50% on my windshield, and the HUD now shows up in any light. Like others have said though, its usually not legal.
