Rear bumper is being fitted now, and wing mounts are soon to go on. Rear suspension is coming together nicely.

Front nose going on, splitter is being constructed as well as brake and radiator ducting.

Progress is moving forward.

Legal engine is now in the car and being plumbed in. Wiring harness is going in as are the hard brake lines and ABS box.

What brakes do you run? Do you run a stock booster?

The car is going to be using the Trophy brakes from StopTech. No booster, the car is running manual brakes with pedals and master cylinders from Tilton.

Aftermarket Bosch adjustable ABS.

I am still curious about your collabaration with Stop Tech and the rotors you are developing. Please keep us up to date. If they become available I want to try them on my ZL1!

We have been working with the guys at StopTech since 2003 and actually helped develop their ST-60 6 piston caliper on our World Challenge Corvette during the 2004 season.

Working with them on a number of kits for the ZL cars as well right now!

Do you use 6 piston front /4 piston rear? Why do you lose the booster and how do you go about setting the ABS?

The car's looking great BTW... Thanks for taking the time to keep us updated on it!

4 piston fronts on the car, probably going to run a single piston rear. From what we have learned with the race car and this particular ABS it does not need a very large brake on the rear of the car.

ABS is base programed by Bosch and you have 12 different range settings from off to a full wet setting. It has its own wheel speed, G load, and pressure sensors to do the rest of it for you. Trick setup.

Those doors are slick!

What size wheels?

I don't think I've ever driven a car without a brake booster. What's the purpose/advantage of not using one on the race car?

18x10 front and 18x10.5 rears I believe...I do need to double check that.

Generally speaking they do not create enough vac. to use a booster...these cars given a stock engine have no problem doing so but you do have better feel with manual brakes on the car. Of course mechanical advantage on the pedals is different and we can run a split master cylinder for different sizes front and rear for bias and again pedal feel.

The Bosch Adj ABS is a great addition for a race car. I'd put one in my Camaro I run at the track except for how expensive they are. We're putting one in our Boss302R for the first time, hopefully before St Pete. It basically allows you to drive the car a little "out-of-control" if you have the skills/inclination to try it.

Nice build thread. Makes me wish we were back racing Camaros again.
