$5, 1 Hour DIY Cupholder Lighting-2010-2013 Camaro

It took me around 1 hour to complete this project on my 2011 Camaro LS. There are many kits out there up to $350. It only cost me $3.80 for the led lights and maybe $1.75 in basic material. I ordered my LEDs from Ebay for $3.80 for a pack of ten. You only need two.
1. Pop out the panels on both sides and the grey center piece. Disconnect the grey piece and keep it close by. You will have to tap into the T/C button wiring later.
2. Remove the four 7mm bolts off the boot.
3. Move to the rear of the center console and remove the four screws holding the back panel in place. Then pop it off and remove any screws on the top.
4. Disconnect both connectors and use a flat head screwdriver to push the two connectors towards the front of the car for removal.
5. Move back to the front and remove the two screws (one on each side) that is holding the center console in place.
6. With a little force, pull up the console on both sides and gently remove it from the vehicle.
7. Use a screw and drill a hole the same size as your led bulb. Test the bulb for desired fitment. If the hole is too small, use a nail or a larger screw to make it bigger. Test fit the bulb again. If you are happy, use one drop of gorilla clue in the hole and slide the bulb in place. It should fit tightly in it's place. Use some electrical tape to hold it the bulbs in place.
8. Grab the center piece and tap into the T/C wiring harness. Yellow goes to positive and black to black for ground.
9. After 10-15 minutes, reinstall everything in reverse back inside the car.
10. When you are done, test the lights by turning on your lights. They will come automatically when it is dark or you can control it by turning on your lights.

Pretty simple and straight forward. Again it only cost me less than $5. I think it's worth it. Good luck on yours. Let me know what you think.

Yeah a pack of 100 on amazon for 16-14 gauge wire is $8.23. Just have to figure out what size wire it is.

The LEDS are called PreWired 5mm Leds with no Resistors. Ebay for $3.79 for a pack of ten.
