HOWEVER. Do you SEE THAT EXHAUST holy crap.

Yeah, but remember, you'll be able to sell your new engine to help defray the costs. I know some dealerships will cut you a sweet deal if they're the ones doing installations because they'll take it off the truck basically with 0 miles on it and do the swap. Chances are that 13k + installation could be netted down to around 8k out of pocket if you found the right dealer.

NO doubt, would be cool if you could order the car as a roller from the factory and then put yer own engine in it.

Im really not too interested in the fancy looking concept crap anymore. it was my understanding that we would get some real info out of the show on parts and fine details and what not.... am i mistaken?

Something else to consider, the LS3 makes close to 500HP with a cam change, and headers. The LS7 makes 550 (probably underrated)...Even if a dealer discounts an install and buys back the LS3, it's still not good bang for the buck even at $5000 premium after LS3 buy-back. Having said that, that LS7 is one seriously cool motor.
(edit) I take that back...that's NOT BAD bang for the buck but it will void your drivetrain warrantee, like most engine performance part installs.

Maybe if someone like Tom Henry was willing to do a LS7 swap for about the same price as an add-on supercharger it might sell very well.

I'd have to see it in person, but I prefer the chops that show it blacked out in a thinner strip. Are the cogs turning Tag???

The show just started, there should be alot of info released over the next few days. If you have questions ask them, maybe someone at SEMA will read it and answer...Or get an answer. Patience is a virtue so they say.

The only thing I would suggest is having the V6 front end on this car if the intent was to pay tribute to a '69 COPO Camaro. The original cars had the exterior of a non performance model but the drivetrain of an animal.
