^^^Yeah, I meant in muscle car performance stuff, not handling. Can't say that it doesn't handle because everything I hear says it handles great.

Sorry, I didn't mean the GT couldn't hang with the SS or SRT8 in handling. I meant in stock for stock 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc.

It's damn close, but losing is losing.

I'm not disrespecting the Mustang at all, but it's obvious if you are looking for bang for the buck performance you're looking at the Camaro. If you like or dislike certain aspects of either car you take the one you like better.

I actually test drove a new Mustang GT today that was modified by the dealer to have the Roush cat back exhaust and cold air intake. I must say, that thing was a blast to drive!

This leads up to my main point: GM has seriously dropped the ball when it comes to producing the 2010 Camaro. I drove from Orange County to San Diego and back yesterday, and I saw countless new Mustangs, and even an old 68 Camaro, but the new Camaros were nowhere to be seen. How the hell am I supposed to wait to buy a car that I have no idea when it is going to be here, and also I have never seen in person. (I have seen a V6 before, but never an SS).

I guess this is why Ford is going to be able to go the entire year without government money, and GM is on the verge of becoming extinct.

I think it's more that Ford was smarter then GM and saw they were in trouble so they mortgaged everything to have cash on hand. Nothing wrong with it but it's essentially what GM would have been doing if the banks hadn't crashed.

I can't knock Ford for doing the smart thing before the situation was dire!

So what the 100hp doesnt make that big of a deal, the times for these two cars are very similar. The weight is very different, plus its always better to drive all the cars you like.

Isn't the 2010 Mustang going to be outdated soon...I thought the next model year was getting the better engine?

We all know the Mustang is almost as fast straight line and better at handling, but all the regular people want to hear about is HP and how much it has. Ford will have to raise it up a notch next year in the HP department, and they will, making the '10 Mustang not a great purchase in my opinion.
