Stone Chip repair in front of rear tire "Black car"

So I have stone chips on the rear quarters like many others on here.
So I decided so try to make them Less noticeable. I Bought some gloss black touch up paint sprayed the area to be fixed after cleaning and then used my hand with gloves on to smear the paint in to the chips. I let is dry for 5 min's then used paint thinner and a rag to wipe off the excess paint. I repeated this again then hit it with a buffer and this is what i got.

Before

After

Its not perfect but its allot better! The before pick was taken after i tried to buff on it as well!

Now take it to a shop that installs the clear 3M bra kits to protect it. It will disguise your repair as if it were never done and may never get a chip again.

Dr Colorchip formula.. You could even go to a car paint supplier and give your vin and get quart made, or I once had a spray can full made for a suburban. Took about week.

Very nice job. As was mentioned... if you can keep her clean for a week or so try to get some Expel/3M clear on that area.

Looks great, well done!

I had the sides of mine 3M'd as soon as I started to notice a few chips, but the gills have bubbles under the film... The guy at the shop told me there's nothing he could do about them. Anyone else have this problem or did I get hosed??
