is PDIM needed for BLuetooth Streaming Audio??

My 2013 1LS has no PDIM, and the Bluetooth streaming works fine for my phone. Not sure about streaming music - haven't tried to enable it yet.

The PDIM has the Bluetooth module, at least in the 10's and 11's.

BT streaming is music, which the LS does not have from the factory. What you're using is hands free calling, which is also BT but a different profile, two totally different things.

The BT module for hands free calling is built into the OnStar module, located behind the glove box. The PDIM module for streaming A2DP would be installed under the center console.

Because that's how GM engineers designed it. If you don't like it, there's always aftermarket.
