Get it done by someone that knows what they're doing and I would definitely paint, not powdercoat. I'm not a chemist or anything but when I researched it I found you have to be careful with powdercoat temps on aluminum.

Last thing you want on a car like the ZL1 (or any car) is wheels with stress cracks...

Good point. I hadn't considered what the heat may do to the strength of the wheel.

I would be concerned that the wheels could warp and end up out of round.
