Couple of my launches on video

Without launch control:

With launch control:

I have done better, but the best timed video is 4.5sec which was measured by the Predator recording vehicle speed on the computer! My setup is in my signature. Lew really dialed in this tune!!

Launch control was way faster, or you kept your foot in it longer.

I am still trying to fine tune my manual launch!! Launch control is hit or miss. Sometimes, I will spin and not hook for at least 2 seconds and others, it will run like that video. Still both I thought were good but I know I can get better.

I get a little with launch control. Manual launches I have had no issues. Just trying to get these tires to grip in 45 degrees is hard.

I agree, every time I use launch control (slam'r to the floor and pop the clutch) I get wheel hop and takes longer to hook up. I'm not sure it really does anything outside of limiting the RPM to 4200 at the start. I still leave a long burnout.

When I don't use Launch Control I limit the wheel spin better because I don't just pop the clutch (like your supposed to be able to do in Launch Control).

Unless someone out there can train me/us on what I should do better, I think Launch Control is a crock!

Also, anyone ever driven their manual 6 on snow? Does 'traction control' do absolutely anything? If I didn't take off the gas myself, it would only spin and spin and spin. Am I missing something here too? I think I'm an idiot.

Well, I did not think 4.5sec was bad in a LS3 with the addons I got. My absolute best was 4.2 seconds but have only seen it once and all the stars were aligned the right way.

I want to try the launch control so bad but I'm afraid of snapping my output shaft. I know I have a high VIN# 39691 and they should have fixed by then I think.

Yeah, go ahead because you wanna find a weak point as soon as possible if it is there. If you have a high vin you will be fine.
